I believe that culture within a company is important for many reasons. Culture is what keeps people wanting to be a part of an organization and is what drives a company. I would want to build a fun, inviting, and supportive culture. On top of that, the main values I would promote within my organization are honesty, accountability, and respect. The main reason for these values is I believe that these will help promote a supportive environment. These values would promote a professional, strong bond among peers and are essential to ensuring the success of an organization. Honesty and accountability are imperative to ensuring that there is trust at all levels of an organization. Respect is necessary to perpetuate a growth-mindset and ensure that everyone is equally valued within an organization.

There are definitely violations to culture as well, as I believe that promoting an environment that is too much “fun” and not enough professional or work culture can be dangerous. I would want to ensure that a good balance is made so that the culture of the work place is one that employees would enjoy coming to daily, but also not lose focus on real work.
